What is U-MOBILITY?

u-mobility u-mobility

U-MOBILITY is a post-doctoral mobility programme created by the University of Malaga to promote the professional development of researchers through the development of a research project in the context of international mobility. This is done in collaboration with a researcher from the University of Malaga and a researcher at a research organisation outside of Spain.

This programme is co-funded by the University of Malaga and the European Union through Marie Curie Action "Co-funding of Regional, National and International Programmes (COFUND)", 7th Framework Programme for Research and Technological Development

Why U-MOBILITY?

The first years after obtaining a doctoral degree are crucial in the professional development of a researcher. The continuing of a research career is an important decision that entails extending professional contacts and acquiring new abilities to move towards a more independent scientific position. This in the medium to long term builds a solid curriculum and improves job prospects in the medium to long term.

In this context, international mobility is one of the best options for continuing a researcher's professional development.

Therefore, the University of Malaga wants to support researchers who are in this situation through the University's own researchers mobility programme: U-MOBILITY.

In addition, this programme will increase the visibility of our research and, at the same time, promote international collaboration, knowledge sharing, and networking.
